Regulatory Compliance Lead

Job Summary Regulatory Compliance Lead responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing the sale of GAF's products and services in North America. Must identify opportunities and risks across product lines, collaborate with product management and product development, manage regulation interpretation and communication, and work with Legal to achieve best outcomes for product‑related regulatory actions and compliance reporting. Based at Parsippany, NJ; hybrid schedule: in‑office Monday‑Thursday, remote Friday. Essential Duties Provide expert regulatory guidance and leadership to the business regarding compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to product development, product management and safety. Build and maintain GAF’s regulatory compliance program, including internal policies and procedures that meet regulatory standards. Advise legal, product management and product development teams on compliance with product‑related regulations. Collaborate with legal and other teams to develop corrective actions and strategies for addressing non‑compliance issues. Identify gaps across product lines in anticipation of future compliance requirements and potential markets, and ensure proactive measures close any gaps. Work with product management to assess product and market risks and proactively develop risk‑management measures for affected product lines. Develop resources such as regulatory summary documents, tracking sheets and quarterly updates for business partners and senior leadership on regulatory requirements, developments and trends. Work with the government affairs team on advocacy to impact proposed and pending regulations, ensuring full engagement in policy development. Develop and deploy educational tools for sales, product management and external customers as needed. Stay informed about emerging regulatory trends and make recommendations to stakeholders. Provide cross‑functional training on product‑related regulatory compliance issues as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum five years of experience in regulatory compliance. Occasional travel (≈5% of time). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Track record of implementing regulatory compliance programs. Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks. Experience with agencies such as EPA, DOT, OSHA, NHTSA, FCC, Health Canada, CARB, etc., and knowledge of laws like TSCA, Prop 65, Hazard Communication Standard, WHMIS, PCPA, FIFRA. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong internal partnership skills and cross‑functional collaboration. Result‑driven project management and high‑energy team player. Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills. Independent, self‑starter with ownership mindset. Strategic and tactical thinking. Ability to handle high‑pressure situations and meet deadlines. Effective negotiation, influencing and rapport‑building skills. Salary Base salary range: $120,000 – $165,000 (exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses). Benefits Health, dental and vision insurance.
