Project Manager

Talent Consultant Group is partnered with a civil engineering firm that is looking to add a Project Manager to their growing team in St. Petersburg, FL.

Our client is a niche engineering firm that provides consulting services in water resources and civil engineering to government agencies. They assist communities in developing, prioritizing, and implementing Capital Improvement Programs that emphasize multi-objective management solutions for their watersheds and built environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of exciting projects and providing excellent client service

• Lead junior engineers and design personnel on variety of assigned projects

• Lead the preparation of technical reports, engineering specifications, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities and planning services

• Guide client organizations in review of designs, studies, and reports prepared by other consultants

• Ensure that business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management

• Be accountable for successfully delivering projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders

• Be a team builder to motivate, support, and guide staff to successfully perform their roles, improve their skills, and act as an integral member of the entire project team

• Manage construction phase support services to include inspections, shop drawing reviews, responses to information requests by contractors, and other general construction administration services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or PE with the ability to gain reciprocity

• 8+ years of competency in the field of transportation, stormwater, and utilities engineering

• Prior project management experience

• Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics

• A proven history leading and managing project teams to successfully meet client expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering

• Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivated, and team-oriented

• Strong organizational skills and technical problem solving

• Prior Experience serving municipal clients in the Tampa Bay area.

• Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
