Maintainer (Driver/Equipment Operator) (37.5 Hours | Second Shift)

Position Overview Maintainer (Driver/Equipment Operator). Location: Middletown, CT. Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday‑Friday. Daily travel required. Responsibilities Transport children, adults, and special‑needs populations in agency vehicles. Operate and maintain vehicles and grounds equipment, including minor repairs. Follow oral and written instructions and agency policies. Record keep, log mileage, and write incident reports. Interact with individuals and respond to emergency situations. Qualifications Minimum: Experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities described below. Preferred: Experience in transportation of children, adults, or special‑needs populations; basic record keeping and reporting; incident‑report writing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to follow instructions and operate and maintain equipment and vehicles. Asses and execute safety and maintenance procedures. Record keeping and reporting. Special Requirements May be required to possess and retain appropriate current licenses, permits, and/or certifications. Physical Requirements Must possess adequate strength, stamina, visual and auditory acuity; may be required to lift moderate to heavy weights, work in extreme weather, and interact with potentially assaultive clients.
