Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an LPN for the Emergency Department (ED) - Level 1 Trauma Center. Shift: Part Time - Evening shift. Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates and relocation assistance available!

The Norfolk General Hospital's Emergency Department is a 53-bed unit. Our Trauma One Facility is equipped to handle a variety of medical emergencies, and approximately 10% are trauma related.

Education Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing required

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• LPN license required

Experience Requirements:

• No prior LPN experience required
• Emergency Department experience preferred

Our Norfolk General facility has four intensive care units and two intensive care units in our 112-bed Nationally Ranked Heart Hospital that sits on our campus.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurse and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.
