Controller

We're partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the Kansas City metro area to identify an experienced Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering with executive leadership to drive business performance. What You'll Do: Lead all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and financial reporting standards. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and internal controls. Drive process improvements across accounting operations, reporting, reconciliations, and fixed assets. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning. Manage external audits and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Support a multi-entity business while providing financial insights that help drive growth and operational excellence. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience leading accounting teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment. ERP experience required (NetSuite is a plus). CPA or CMA preferred. Public accounting, retail, or multi-location experience is highly desirable.
