A confidential New York based law firm is seeking a senior corporate attorney to focus on corporate lending and commercial finance transactions. This is a fully transactional role for an attorney who enjoys running deals from term sheet through closing, partnering directly with clients, and taking on increasing responsibility within an established finance practice with a defined long-term succession path.

THE ROLE
- Represent lenders and borrowers in a range of commercial finance transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, promissory notes, guaranties, security agreements, and related closing deliverables
- Manage due diligence, closing mechanics, and post-closing requirements
- Advise on collateral and perfection issues, including Uniform Commercial Code filings and lien searches
- Negotiate amendments, waivers, consents, and related financing modifications
- Coordinate with opposing counsel and internal stakeholders to keep transactions on track from term sheet through closing

New York (Long Island area)
Schedule:
Hybrid, in office 4 days per week
Compensation:
Base salary range: $160,000 to $230,000
REQUIREMENTS
- 7 plus years of corporate lending or commercial finance transactional experience
- Active New York bar admission, in good standing
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across core lending documents
- Ability to manage transactions with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Portable book of business
- Experience leading both borrower-side and lender-side matters, including coordinating closings and supervising junior attorneys or paralegals
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Billable target: 1,800 hours
