The company is targeting $50 billion in annual revenue within the decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.As a Purchasing Manager at QXO, you'll lead purchasing, supplier management, and inventory planning strategies that ensure our teams have the right products at the right time to support our customers and business growth. You'll develop strong vendor partnerships, optimize inventory investment, lead and develop purchasing teams, and collaborate across Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Inventory, and Finance to drive and customer service expectationsMonitor purchasing performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, and servicePromote consistency and best practices across purchasing operationsVendor & Supplier ManagementBuild and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and vendor partnersNegotiate pricing, purchasing terms, service agreements, and delivery expectations within company guidelinesEvaluate supplier performance based on quality, service, delivery, availability, and costMonitor market conditions, product availability, pricing trends, and industry developmentsIdentify opportunities to strengthen vendor performance, reduce purchasing costs, and improve product availabilityInventory Planning & OptimizationOversee inventory levels, replenishment strategies, inventory budgets, and inventory turnsPartner with Operations and Warehouse teams to balance product availability with inventory investmentAnalyze inventory performance to identify shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving products, and purchasing opportunitiesSupport cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, and reportingEnsure inventory systems accurately reflect product availability and transactionsSupport demand forecasting and purchasing plans for seasonal demand, new products, and business growthPurchasing OperationsOversee purchase order processing, confirmations, vendor communication, and order follow-upMonitor purchase orders from creation through delivery to ensure timely fulfillmentCoordinate delivery schedules and expedite critical materials when necessaryEnsure purchasing records, documentation, and supplier information remain complete and accurateSupport product transfers between branch locations when neededResolve purchasing and supply-related issues that could impact customer order fulfillmentCross-Functional PartnershipPartner with Sales, Operations, Dispatch, Warehouse, Inventory, Finance, and leadership to support business objectivesProvide purchasing expertise during business planning, operational reviews, and leadership discussionsMaintain clear communication between purchasing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersCollaborate with operational teams to proactively address product availability and supply-chain challengesSupport customer service by helping resolve purchasing-related issues quickly and effectivelyTeam Development & Continuous ImprovementMentor and develop Purchasing Agents and future purchasing leadersCross-train team members to experience leading or managing purchasing teams preferredExperience within building materials, manufacturing, distribution, construction, or industrial supply preferredExperience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor performanceExperience with inventory planning, purchasing analytics, and demand forecastingWorking knowledge of ERP, WMS, inventory management, and purchasing systemsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelCPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or related supply-chain certification is a plusWork Environment & RequirementsCombination of office,
