Compensation: $35.77 - $43.84 per hour

Pay Transparency: The stated hourly wage range reflects the expected compensation for this role in New Jersey. The final pay offered will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate's educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

The surgical technician will work closely with the perioperative registered nurse as part of a collaborative team, providing tailored, age-appropriate care to patients.

• Required: Completion of a nationally or regionally accredited surgical technologist educational program.
• OR
• Possession of a certified surgical technologist credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or another recognized credentialing body.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of all orientation and departmental training with appropriate documentation.

This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

• Foster an environment that promotes safe patient outcomes.
• Monitor and ensure that patients' physiological responses during surgery align with expectations in the surgical suite and throughout the perioperative process.
• Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to deliver individualized, age-specific patient care.
• Anticipate the needs for surgical instruments and equipment during procedures, and manage transitions smoothly when cases deviate from the norm.
• Adhere to all risk reduction protocols to prevent fires in the operating room, including safety measures related to laser and electrosurgery.
