As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering first-class customer service to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The Valet Attendant is responsible for assisting arriving and departing guests by opening and closing doors, parking and securing vehicles, unloading luggage, and retrieving vehicles in a timely manner.Hourly Rate: $19.00Status: Full-Time and Part-TimeSundays 10:00AM - 2:00PMMondays through Fridays 4:00PM -8:30PMEvery other weekend, some Holidays required.Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Valet Attendant:As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering first-class customer service to guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient mannerThe Valet Attendant is responsible for assisting arriving and departing guests by opening and closing doors, parking and securing vehicles, unloading luggage, retrieving vehicles in a timely manner, and extending the initial friendly welcome to the hotel guestsYou must love physical activity, as you will be lifting up to 50lbs as we help take suitcases in and out of the vehicleYou will also need to run, stand for long periods of time, and go up and down stairs within parking garagesYou will need to be personable and comfortable talking with guests as you help them through the valet check-in processWe hire valets to start part-time, but with the opportunity to grow rapidly into full-time supervisor rolesYou will be assigned an initial schedule to meet our needs at the Hotel propertyThese schedules will be during our busiest times to ensure higher tips and less work hoursAdditional Responsibilities:Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.Participate in all drills and in-service education as assigned.Respond to facility emergencies as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.You will be working outside in all kinds of weather, as we do not stop parking cars when it rains, snows, is too hot or too coldProviding excellent guest service is a must!You must be available to work flexible schedules, weekends, and holidaysPunctuality and reliability are essential!High school diploma or equivalentProficiency in English; verbal and writtenExceptional guest service skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust have a Valid Driver's License and 3 years of driving experienceAbility to complete and pass pre-employment background, drug, and MVR screenAbility to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation, and exhibit a full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and crouchingAbility to stand for long periods and occasionally runAbility to run up and down multiple levels of stairsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsEducation and/or Experience:1-2 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or maintenance.High School Diploma or GED, preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Valid Driver's License combined with an acceptable driving record.Client Rights: Promote and protect members' rights, assist members in making informed decisions, treat members with dignity and respect, protect members' personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law, regulation, and member rights.Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status.
