• Join a collegial, autonomous 10-physician anesthesia group serving one hospital, a Level II Trauma Center with more than 20,000 annual surgical cases and approximately 2,000-2,250 deliveries.
• Care-team model with 10 full-time CRNAs, 5 part-time CRNAs, 10 AAs, and 5 anesthesia technicians. The anesthesiologist would medically direct CRNAs/AAs essentially all the time, with only about 1% personal cases.
• Broad general anesthesiology practice: outpatient and regional anesthesia commonly; OB, pediatrics, trauma, major vascular, and orthopedics periodically. Cardiac, thoracic, and neuro are limited; no chronic pain or critical-care responsibility. TEE is handled by cardiology.
• Call is every 10th night, 3 p.m.-7 a.m., with a guaranteed post-call day off. Second-call frequency varies.
• Georgia license required; board-certification-track candidates and new graduates are acceptable. Current ACLS and PALS are required.
• The position is described as leading to immediate partnership, although it is also characterized as hospital-employed - another point worth clarifying.
