Job Overview Mobile Phlebotomist Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid). Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour. Responsibilities Drive vehicle to client facilities as directed by dispatcher. Unload phlebotomy tray and collect samples at patient’s bedside. Accurately identify patients before collecting specimens. Collect, label, process, and deliver specimens. Reload equipment and specimens into vehicle for prompt delivery. Regularly communicate with dispatcher to report status and location. Adhere to Universal Precautions and safety precautions. Maintain required certifications, health, and operational requirements. Keep work area clean and report unsafe conditions or complaints. Monitor supplies inventory and report low stock or expired supplies. Follow specimen preservation and patient preparation procedures. Maintain time records and manage shift including meal breaks. Make changes to records only per approved instructions. Work evenings, weekends, and irregular overtime as needed. Required Qualifications Valid State phlebotomy license (if required). Valid State Driver’s license with car insurance and good driving record; possess a suitable vehicle. Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe techniques. Knowledge of laboratory operations. Demonstrated communication and customer service skills, especially with pediatric and geriatric patients. Regular attendance. Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and procedural standards. Preferred Qualifications Dispatch and routing experience. Basic computer skills. Customer service experience. Communication skills. Physical Demands Walk, stand, lift up to 35 pounds, reach, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. Adaptation to various weather and driving conditions. Work Environment Standard laboratory and mobile field environment; potential health hazards and need for PPE.
