Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Neurological specialty in ROCKFORD, Illinois. This position entails providing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center, with the flexibility to float down to the Step-Down Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Nursing License, CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; graduate of an accredited nursing program; at least 0 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an ICU at a Level 1 Trauma Center, ability to float to Step-Down ICU
• Additional Information: The position requires utilization of the nursing process, interdisciplinary collaboration, medication administration, documentation, development and implementation of patient care plans, and participation in department improvement activities. Critical thinking and escalations regarding patient safety are essential.
