Hospitalist – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) We support physicians in operating independent medical practices by providing non-clinical administrative support while physicians retain full ownership and clinical authority. Opportunity: Start a new private practice, transition from employment, convert an existing practice, or relocate to a new market. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing as required. Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community-based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician-directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician-owned practice. Financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions.
