Research Assistant (Study Tech) – Animal Operations, Greenfield, Indiana Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. This role contributes to improving the lives and wellness of people and animals worldwide by conducting animal research studies on safety, effectiveness, and toxicity of drugs in development. Work Schedule Daytime hours; once fully trained, will require working every 3rd weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Job Responsibilities Conduct Animal Research studies testing safety, effectiveness, and toxicity of drugs and chemical substances. Perform husbandry duties for small and large animals. Execute dosing techniques with small and large animals. Perform bleeding techniques with small and large animals. Collect biological samples. Measure body weight, food consumption, body temperature, blood pressure, etc. Maintain the highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with AAALAC. Perform medical imaging and monitor for behavioral changes. Document findings in LIMS. Report any animal concerns to supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in veterinary technology or related program OR Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Biology, Wildlife Studies, or related life science field. 2+ years of college coursework in related Sciences fields AND 1–2 years of hands‑on large or small animal care in laboratory/research or farming operations. Preferred Qualifications Prior animal research experience. Experience using standard laboratory equipment such as scales, measures, pipetting. Ability to follow research study procedures and document findings. Good time‑management skills. AALAS Certification preferred (retrain provided). Additional Job Standards Comfortable working with small and large animals in a research environment. Pay $22 per hour.
