Job Description
We are seeking a dependable janitor/custodian to provide routine cleaning services at the National Weather Service office in Melbourne, Florida.
Primary responsibilities include:

Job Description
We are seeking a dependable janitor/custodian to provide routine cleaning services at the National Weather Service office in Melbourne, Florida.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Empty trash cans and remove trash.
- Vacuum carpeted areas.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops, and floors.
- Clean the kitchen/break room.
- Refill paper products and hand soap.
- Clean and disinfect drinking fountains.
- Dust and clean desks, tables, chairs, cabinets, baseboards, window sills, and other surfaces.
- Clean entry doors and glass.
- Clean showers.
- Perform periodic detailed cleaning of walls, doors, vents, light fixtures, and high surfaces.
- Assist with annual carpet cleaning, floor stripping/waxing, and interior/exterior window cleaning as required.
- Reliable and able to consistently work the required evening schedule.
- Able to perform general commercial janitorial duties.
- Able to safely use cleaning equipment and cleaning products.
- Must follow site security requirements.
- Personnel entering the facility are subject to required security/background processing.
- Must follow special cleaning requirements for computer-room flooring and other designated areas.
