Physical Therapist

Job Summary Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to treat movement dysfunction and pain resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other health‑related conditions. Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition. Establish, revise, and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient/family. Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate for the patient’s condition. Provide education to patients/families/staff by assessing educational needs. Participate in discharge planning with patients, families, and other health‑care providers, providing home instructions, recommending equipment/home modifications, and appropriate follow‑up care. Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Maintain documentation that details patient response to therapy and need for skilled intervention as required by regulatory bodies. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or related field required to obtain licensure in state of practice. No prior experience required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification required within 90 days of employment. Physical Requirements Constant standing; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of objects weighing 0–25 lbs. Use of hearing, speech, and vision for communication, alarms, machinery, and patient assessments. Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements. Occasional lifting of objects 25–50 lbs. and moving patients. Occasional driving; rare crawling. Licensing & Certifications Physical Therapist, Licensed – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Physical Therapist – Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Physical Therapist – Oklahoma Medical Board. Physical Therapist (PT) – Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Work Location Illinois Missouri Oklahoma Wisconsin Schedule & Hours Day shift (United States of America). Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Employee status.
