Develop a talented team and ensure financial integrity.Job DescriptionController OverviewThe Controller role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and transform accounting operations in a dynamic, high-growth environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative financial processes and reporting systems.Drive automation and AI adoption to streamline accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.Lead a talented accounting team, fostering professional growth and ensuring scalability with business expansion.Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and maintain the integrity of financial records and reporting.Develop decision-ready financial reporting packages for executive management to support strategic decision-making.Manage technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition and inventory for a consumer-focused brand.Prepare the company for audit readiness and establish robust internal control environments.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance function.Controller Key Responsibilities & DutiesOversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Redesign and automate manual accounting workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors.Implement AI-driven tools to modernize accounting operations and enhance productivity.Develop and deliver standardized financial reports for executive decision-making.Lead and mentor the accounting team, setting clear standards and fostering professional growth.Maintain compliance with GAAP standards and address technical accounting matters.Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and external partners on budgeting, cash management, and audits.Document policies and procedures to establish a strong internal control environment.Support the organization’s growth by scaling accounting functions and systems effectively.Controller Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Accounting or related field required.Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.CPA certification or equivalent public accounting experience strongly preferred.Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities.Experience with modern ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet skills.Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and technical accounting matters.Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and accountability.Enthusiasm for adopting new technologies to enhance accounting workflows.Experience in consumer, beauty, retail, or e-commerce industries is a plus.
