Our client is seeking Speech Language Pathologist in Essex County.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
- Assess and treat people who have communication disorders
- Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty
- Identify clients' goals for treatment
- Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs
- Teach clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency
- Help clients improve vocabulary and sentence structure
- Work with clients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow
- Counsel clients and their families on how to cope with communication and swallowing disorders
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Minimum of a Master's Degree
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in Child Study field
- NJ State Certifications
- Experience treating young adult populations
- Ability to complete and pass background checks prior to startingSchool based experience with Administrative Codes, Rules and Regulations
- Experience with Time Management, Deadlines, Diverse School Settings
- Familiar with evaluations, therapy, and case management
- Must be willing to obtain register/archive fingerprints under Delta-T Group codes.
