Senior Contracting Specialist, Global Contracting Services

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for a Senior Contract Specialist on the OGC’s Global Contracting Services legal team, based at Nike PHK World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will perform a key role in extending this team’s ability to service the Global and North America business, and business teams in other geographies, and the evolution of Nike’s business model. To be successful, you must demonstrate initiative and possess excellent risk assessment and reasoning skills. The ability to work independently, track and meet deadlines, and manage multiple daily tasks is also key.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or trainingA minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal, contract specialist or similar support role in a law firm, corporate law department or large companyDemonstrated experience drafting and managing a wide range of contract types under tight deadlinesFlexibility and willingness to take on and organize projects in new or unfamiliar areasA bias for action and ability to work independently within a complex international organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate at all levels and to diverse audiencesProficiency in Word and Excel, experience with dynamic collaboration tools such as Smartsheet and Airtable, and the ability to navigate digital contract and vendor management toolsStrong team player with a strategic mindset and close attention to detailWHAT WILL YOU WORK ONYour daily responsibilities will include:Completing end-to-end contract management actions, from submission through storage, with a focus on building efficiencies using digital workflows and innovative legal processes.Overseeing or supporting contract negotiations involving business teammates, vendors and other third parties, consistent with Nike policies and best practices.Working within Nike’s enterprise contract management platform and other digital collaboration tools relating to contract lifecycle management. Partnering with NIKE attorneys, contract specialists, paralegals, business stakeholders and outside counsel on a range of contracting and dealmaking matters.Project-managing in support of various team initiatives.Assisting with the development of presentations and training materials on legal topics.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou will report to the Senior Manager, Global Contracting Services. You will also collaborate with cross-functional Legal and business teammates, and other support functions such as Procurement, Finance and Technology.
