Scrum Master

The Scrum Master will guide and coach Agile teams to ensure effective delivery of business goals. The role focuses on facilitating Scrum practices, removing impediments, improving team productivity, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and coach teams on Scrum practices to ensure effective delivery of business goals.

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:

  • Daily Stand-ups

  • Sprint Planning

  • Sprint Reviews

  • Retrospectives

• Ensure teams adhere to Agile values and principles.

• Work with the Product Owner to maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog.

• Identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted team progress.

• Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.

• Track and report Agile metrics to stakeholders, including velocity, burndown, and cycle time.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and ownership.

• Support team members in adopting Agile mindsets and self-organizing behaviors.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and coaching.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Scrum framework, Agile principles, and servant leadership.

• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.

• Strong impediment removal and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to improve team productivity and collaboration.

• Experience with Agile tools such as:

  • Jira

  • Azure DevOps

  • Rally

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Coaching and conflict resolution skills.

• Understanding of Agile metrics and reporting:

  • Velocity

  • Burndown

  • Cycle Time

Certification

• CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification preferred.
