The Optometric Technician plays a vital role in supporting a small optometric team of 1-3 professionals by assisting primarily with routine eye exams. This position requires direct collaboration with the Optometrist and coordination with the Office Manager to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal care. The technician's responsibilities include administering vision tests, patient screening, and educating patients, all while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service in a clinical setting with no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient screening and vision testing
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Provide patient education on eye health and procedures
• Coordinate appointments and manage schedule flow
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with visual acuity testing
• Ability to operate ophthalmic equipment
• Competent in patient record management
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
