This is not a “sit behind the desk” leadership role. You’ll lead from the front —producing your own business while building and coaching a team to hit—and exceed—performance goals. What You’ll Be Accountable For Within your first 6–12 months, you will: Build and actively manage a team of Mortgage Loan Officers in the Maryland market Consistently meet or exceed personal production goals while elevating overall team performance Improve pull-through rates and pipeline efficiency across your team Recruit and onboard high-potential MLO talent to expand market coverage Establish a disciplined sales culture focused on activity, accountability, and results Strengthen relationships with realtors, builders, and referral partners to increase market share What You’ll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mortgage Loan Officers to achieve production goals Originate residential mortgage loans, managing the full lifecycle from application to closing Set clear expectations and performance metrics aligned with annual sales objectives Recruit, hire, and onboard new MLOs to grow your team strategically Monitor pipeline activity, coach for improvement, and address performance gaps Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and a strong customer experience Maintain compliance with all mortgage regulations and internal policies Actively participate in community and business development activities to expand brand presence What Sets You Up for Success 5+ years of mortgage lending experience with a strong personal production history 5+ years of leadership experience , with proven ability to coach and develop others Demonstrated success in building referral networks and generating consistent loan volume Deep knowledge of mortgage products, guidelines, and regulatory requirements Strong sales leadership mindset—comfortable setting expectations, holding accountability, and driving results Ability to balance personal production with team leadership responsibilities Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why Join Traditions Mortgage?
