Job Description
Responsible for supporting indirect and direct tax compliance activities , including sales and use tax, property tax, business licenses, tax filings, research, and resolution of tax notices. The role involves coordinating with third-party tax advisors, preparing tax documentation, assisting with federal and state tax compliance, and ensuring accurate, timely, and well-organized deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage indirect tax compliance (sales/use tax, property tax, business licenses).
- Prepare and support tax filings, registrations, and compliance documents.
- Assist with federal and state income tax workpapers, estimates, and extensions.
- Conduct tax research and support tax notice resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external tax advisors.
- Maintain accurate documentation and organized tax records.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 1–2 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and research processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP systems.
- CorpTax, BNA Tax Research, OneStream, or related tax software.
- Experience with sales/use tax and indirect tax compliance.
