Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist Takoma Park, Maryland Pay From: $18 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant - Medical Receptionist 2 plus years of experience as a Medical Assistant Experience working on EMR; knowledge of Epic highly preferred Strong experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations Experience handling and conducting high amounts of calls Strong verbal and written communication skills Medical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant DUTIES: Triage patients Prepare medical records Room patients Provide clinical help Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information Perform data entry and processing Schedule appointments Maintain medical records *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
