About the Role Financial Crime Operations is at the forefront of Revolut’s efforts to keep customers and their money safe. Team members work directly with customers to resolve issues and flag potential concerns. Using cutting-edge technology and sharp attention to detail, they help prevent financial crime and keep trust at the core of Revolut. We’re looking for a FinCrime Escalations Officer to ensure effective and compliant suspicious activity reporting in branches across Europe. You'll be performing assessments and making decisions on reports, which are escalated from the first line of defence. What You’ll Be Doing Acting as the escalation point for suspicious activity cases, managing queries requiring a second line of defence review Ensuring accurate and timely SARs are submitted according to local requirements Supporting the MLRO in day-to-day AML/CFT, sanctions, and financial crime matters Monitoring and detecting rare or new patterns, and reporting emerging trends in suspicious activity Developing, improving, and maintaining internal policies, procedures, guidance, and escalation frameworks Helping to ensure that internal processes are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements Collaborating with relevant authorities, including responding to requests for information and supporting external reporting processes and audits Supporting management reporting by preparing metrics, dashboards, summaries, and thematic analysis for key stakeholders Assisting with internal training and awareness by translating regulatory requirements into workable operational guidance Maintaining high documentation standards, ensuring that investigations, decisions, and escalations are clearly recorded and defensible What You’ll Need Experience as a compliance/FinCrime officer in a major financial institution Experience in FinCrime operations acting as the escalation point Deep knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations Experience using internal and external systems and databases to conduct investigations The ability to review policies and procedures and advise if changes are required Problem-solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolutions The ability to present a summary and conclusion to management promptly, including clear proposals to implement appropriate steps to mitigate risk and/or monitor it An understanding of payment systems and markets with a focus on technology and mobile applications Fluency in English Fluency in French, German, and/or Italian Nice to Have Knowledge of XML Proficiency in SQL Experience in process development and process improvement Knowledge of case management systems or transaction monitoring tools Expertise in data analysis and translating data into actionable insights Experience working with regulators, FIUs, or law enforcement requests Familiarity with risk assessments and escalation frameworks Experience supporting audits, compliance testing, or regulatory reviews #J-18808-Ljbffr
