Anesthesiology Physician

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Overtime offered but not expected. Holiday shifts preferred.

General, Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Pediatrics

Credentialing:

Estimated privileging timeframe: 105 days. Must cross credential at Cape Fear Valley Medical, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, and Hoke Hospital. Target start date: March 16, 2026.

Responsibilities

Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Minimum Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible:

Board Certification Required

Certifications:

ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia.

Licensure:

Currently licensed as a Physician (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited College of Medicine. Must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina state licensure. (Candidates needing to obtain state licensure will not be considered.)
