Job Description Bernardus Lodge & Spa, Carmel Valley, California, United States of America Posted Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 7:00 AM Keep all dishes, glassware, utensils, washing equipment, and work area clean, safe, and sanitary, and to support Kitchen staff by performing basic preparation and cleaning tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage duties and responsibilities as assigned or reassigned by management for reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Ensure that clean and sanitary dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils are available for use as promptly as possible with little to no breakage. Help maintain high levels of cleanliness while completing washing assignments. Sweep and mop kitchen floors. Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers. Assist with stewarding responsibilities as required. Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Ability to perform the physical labor necessary. Must be able to work independently. Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US. Must meet legal age requirements for the position. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent to a GED. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met successfully to perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment at Bernardus Lodge ranges from winter time lows of 20 degrees to summer time highs of 100+ degrees. While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
