Job Title: TIG Welder / Fabricator

Shift: 1st shift - 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri (Currently working 6am-4:30pm) and some Saturdays for overtime

Pay: $20-$24/hr

Job Description

This role focuses on precision TIG welding and fabrication of stainless steel and aluminum components used in pump manufacturing. You will weld and fabricate custom parts based on blueprints, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship in a clean, climate-controlled production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components, with material thicknesses up to 1/4 inch.

  • Weld manifolds that connect to pumps for water flow and aluminum housings that support large pumps.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications, dimensions, and welding requirements for each job.

  • Fabricate custom parts for each project, ensuring components meet design requirements and tolerances of approximately ± 1/16 inch.

  • Use grinding and cutting tools to prepare, shape, and finish parts during the fabrication process.

  • Perform out-of-position welding as needed and work comfortably through 6G welding positions when required.

  • Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures while using welding and fabrication equipment.

  • Collaborate with team members and production staff to complete manufacturing processes efficiently and on schedule.

Essential Skills

  • Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel and aluminum materials.

  • Ability to fabricate parts using welding, grinding, and cutting tools.

  • Proficiency in reading and working from blueprints.

  • Capability to perform welding in out-of-position and 6G welding positions.

  • Ability to hold tight tolerances, typically around ± 1/16 inch.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds and fabricated parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience welding manifolds and housings or similar precision components.

  • Background in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Familiarity with pump-related components or fluid-handling systems.

  • Comfort working with material thicknesses up to 1/4 inch.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, climate-controlled shop environment focused on manufacturing pump components. You will work primarily on 1st shift, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with current hours adjusted to approximately 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and some Saturdays for overtime as needed. The work involves regular use of TIG welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication tools in a production setting, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and precision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
