Registered Nurse, Radiation Therapy, Per Diem, Day

Position Summary To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, BLS certification and unit-based orientation. Experience Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Radiation Therapy required. Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. Per Diem Schedule 1–2 days per week Weekday hours only, with shifts varying based on clinic needs: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Skills Physical and cognitive requirements: Position's physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including physically assisting patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling. Position is classified as Very Heavy Work which requires occasionally lifting over 100 pounds and/or frequently over 50 pounds, constantly over 20 pounds. Compliance with NIOSH guidelines for lifting. Manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity, understanding information, deductive and inductive reasoning, and practical problem solving. Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to detail, manage multiple tasks, work cooperatively within multidisciplinary teams, and function under stressful changes in patient needs.
