Software Engineer in Test

The RoleIn this role, you will be working with a team of technologists passionate about Quality Assurance and Engineering. As a technical associate of this team, you will partner with development and business partners in Manual & Test automation. Your primary responsibilities includes designs, develops, and maintains robust automated test scripts for Web reliability, using Selenium automation framework with Java. Performs regression testing and accelerates software delivery, using Selenium with test management and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools. Tests and validates applications that rely on unstructured or semi-structured data, ensuring correct data storage and retrieval of non-relation systems, using SQL and NoSQL databases. Tests Web applications and webservices (REST APIs). Applies Quality Assurance (QA) engineering and software development concepts in QA related tasks, test cases, and functional automation. Tracks defects and issues, and works with team members to ensure resolution. Participates in defect triage and production release deployment verification. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.Primary Responsibilities:Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.The Expertise and Skills You BringBS in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience5+ years of software product experience working on software development5+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automationProven experience in Agile / Scrum methodologyStrong hands-on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Selenium (TestNG), PlayWright, KarateStrong knowledge a programming language such as Javascript, Typescript or JavaGood understanding of web services testing and familiarity with RestAssured is preferredGood understanding of Jenkins as CI Tool and configurationExperience with Oracle & SQL databasesHighly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong partner relationships internally, as well as externallyHands-on experience driving innovation process from end-to-endBackground in DevOps environment is preferred
