Emergency Services Technician - Per Diem

Position Summary The Emergency Services Technician offers an excellent opportunity to support patient care and cover administrative and clinical procedures. Working in collaboration across a team of practitioners, you will ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experiences. Responsibilities Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioners. Engage critical thinking skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment. Utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction. Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team. Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA‑R, MA‑P, MA‑C or successful completion of an EMT Training Course. MA‑P or EMT will be required to obtain NA‑R within ninety (90) days of hire. CNA, NA‑R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA‑P within a specified date as determined by location; Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations do not require the MA‑P. Current BLS Certification. Previous experience as a CNA, NA‑R, corpsman, or EMT in an emergency department, pre‑hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years is preferred. Pay & Benefits We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by pay transparency laws, the pay scale is $22.79 – $31.27 USD. Pay is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and certifications or education.
