Duration: 12+ months contract

Project: A Sr. ServiceNow - Software Engineer to join client’s IT Service Management Technology Solutions and Modernization Team. The candidate must be UI focused with strong collaboration skills to be able to work well with fellow developers, user experience designers, and quality assurance engineers across a distributed team.

Description: Client needs a ServiceNow developer with good core Java and API experience. If they have experience in Automated Testing (Jasmine or Junit) as well as Automated Deployments (any orchestration tool would be fine) that would be a huge plus. This team has a lot of Old School thinking (specifically around Auto Testing and Auto Deploy) and Client is hoping to find a resource that will bring new ideas/concepts to challenge the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of the ITSM framework.
• Experience with development and implementation of any Servicenow ITSM Modules – Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, Service Portal, Configuration (CMDB) or other ITSM / CMDB applications (MID Servers, Discovery).
• Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side Javascript and Servicenow APIs
• Familiar with the following software languages: JavaScript, Powershell, HTML, JSON, CSS, AJAX
• Experience in working within the Agile best practice and participate in the ceremonies.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior-level developers
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships
• Comfortable as a self-starter – able to act independently under general direction.

Required Experience:

• Service Now experience (modules, configuring forms, integrations.
• Core Java experience to write the scripts in ServiceNow.
• A ServiceNow developer with good core Java and API experience.
• Experience in Automated Testing (Jasmine or Junit)
• Automated Deployments (any orchestration tool would be fine) that would be a huge plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent
