Description

Cat-i Glass is looking for an advanced technician who can independently troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, keeping operations running safely and efficiently.

Cat-i Glass participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility after hire.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures
• Repair and replace motors, contactors, and machine components
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Fabricate parts and perform welding repairs
• Identify root causes of equipment failures
• Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime

Required Skills

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to perform welding or fabrication tasks

Preferred Skills

• Experience with predictive maintenance programs
• Experience leading small repair projects

Work Order System

• Ability to read, update, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Accurately document maintenance activities, parts used, and downtime causes
• Follow digital preventive maintenance schedules and ensure work orders are completed properly

Safety Expectations

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Comply with OSHA safety standards applicable to maintenance work
• Use required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other equipment as needed
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing or repairing equipment
• Report safety hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and measuring devices
