Vice President of Software Engineering

We are a growing clinical technology company focused on improving how behavioral health assessments and electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments (eCOA) are delivered in clinical trials. Our platform combines evidence-based behavioral health assessments with modern technology to help pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research organizations collect high-quality clinical data efficiently, securely, and in compliance with GCP and applicable regulatory requirements. We are seeking an experienced VP of Software Engineering to lead our technology organization as we scale our platform and business. The Opportunity The VP of Software Engineering will be responsible for the strategy, development, scalability, security, reliability, and compliance of our technology platform. This is a hands‑on executive leadership role for someone who enjoys working in a growth‑stage environment and can balance technical leadership, product delivery, regulatory compliance, and team development . You will work closely with the CEO, Product, Clinical, Quality & Compliance, and Customer Success teams to build a technology organization capable of supporting significant growth. What you'll do Develop and execute the company’s technology and engineering strategy. Lead and grow a high-performing offshore engineering organization. Oversee software architecture, development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure. Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, reliable, and highly available. Establish strong software development lifecycle and engineering practices. Partner with Product Management to translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure technology systems support GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, audit trail, and applicable privacy requirements . Lead system validation and technology compliance activities in partnership with Quality & Compliance. Oversee cybersecurity, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Establish appropriate development, testing, change-control, and release-management processes. Manage engineering budgets, vendors, and technology resources. Help establish the company’s long-term technology roadmap and architecture.
