PRSG® is partnering with an established manufacturer to hire a Senior Accountant focused on cost accounting and operational analysis. This newly created position offers the opportunity to work directly with the Site Controller, strengthen financial processes, and help translate manufacturing activity into meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze material, labor, overhead, absorption, and margins within a job-costing environment.
• Investigate cost and profitability variances and explain the underlying operational drivers.
• Support inventory valuation, work in process, finished goods, reserves, and cycle counts.
• Assist with forecasting and prepare financial analyses to support production planning and management decisions.
• Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, reconciliations, and monthly corporate reporting.
• Support audits, internal controls, and improvements to accounting workflows and ERP reporting.
• Partner with operations and other departments to improve financial visibility and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in manufacturing accounting or public accounting serving manufacturing clients.
• Strong understanding of the general ledger, adjusting entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Familiarity with job costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost flows.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate findings.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with accounting and operational colleagues.

Preferred: Experience with Epicor, Power BI or Tableau, and SOX or internal controls.
