Mental Health Therapist Team Leader (Clinical)

Continuing education reimbursement ($500 per year) Eligibility for student loan repayment for federal and/or state programs Flexible Work Schedules Considered Needs Accommodations Programs Mental Health Resources Telework Opportunities Considered What You'll Do: The School Based Health Mental Health Therapist Team Leader will be focused on providing behavioral health clinical and administrative support to Blue Ridge clinicians while also providing assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy at a 50% administrative and 50% clinical role. The team leader will assist clinics and assigned programs in addressing behavioral health needs and whole person needs with behavioral interventions. Responsibilities include: Providing clinical and oversight support to a team of behavioral health staff. Assuring and sharing responsibility in maintaining compliance with Blue Ridge Health’s service and documentation standards as well as clinical standards and addressing promptly, directly, and compassionately in supervisions with staff. Follow and support established policies, procedures and protocols related to the delivery of clinical services and maintains responsibility for the team in providing practical interpretation of the established policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices and effectively model implementation of such practices. Attend community meetings as requested by supervisor. Meet consistently with team therapists and staff for the purpose of collaboration, training, supervision, connection, and support. Monthly site visits at each clinic – Meet with Practice Managers and Clinicians. Manage all things schedule related – time cards in ADP, PTO requests, etc. Build and monitor Counselor schedules in Athena to best serve clinical needs and service delivery expectations. Respond to day‑to‑day clinical consultation needs from the behavioral team and assigned clinics. Serve as back up consultation to other team leaders and clinical supervisor. Review requests for: same day service, letters, DSS reports, and urgent needs. Attend monthly Site Meeting and monthly team leader meeting. Manage new employee orientation for Counselors and support in interviewing and hiring. Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed staff and other staff as needed. Identify individual clinic needs and priorities and bring forward to clinical supervisor. Conduct Annual Reviews. Strive to be a positive role model in all settings on a consistent basis by demonstrating recovery and resiliency values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions in order to promote a positive environment in the clinic and in the community. Provide a high level of reliability through attendance, timeliness and follow‑through as well as demonstrating work practices which support the overall functioning of the clinic. Demonstrates a trauma informed and recovery oriented approach. Demonstrates the willingness to lead by example and provides recognition when others do the same. Demonstrates the willingness to nurture, support and encourage staff as they face challenges and learn new skills. Demonstrates the ability to communicate expectations clearly, particularly clinical outcomes and accountability measures, and recognizes the importance of conveying to all staff, on a regular basis, how they are doing at work. Demonstrates the ability to hold staff accountable and have courageous conversations with staff as the need arises. Demonstrate knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices and effectively model implementation of such practice. What We're Looking For: Fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Certification Required 2 years clinical social work experience preferred LCMHC-S or a different license that includes the certification of qualified supervisor Ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments and develop and implement viable treatment plans Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred Excellent listening and communication skills Bilingual a plus About Blue Ridge Health: At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care.
