Medical Laboratory Scientist I – Neptune, NJ – Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, rotational weekends and holidays Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist I in Neptune, New Jersey. This hospital‑based position is located at the Jersey Shore. Job Description Responsibilities include: Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and testing, and maintain accurate records of patient test results. Document proficiency testing sample results to demonstrate consistency with patient specimens. Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures. Review and release test results. Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety guidelines. Follow laboratory policies and procedures when test system performance is outside acceptable levels. Identify and correct problems that affect test performance or reporting, or notify senior technologist or supervisor immediately. Education & Qualifications BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or an associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology. Certification under 42 CFR 493 accepted. 1 year of clinical experience with high‑complexity testing preferred. ASCP Certification required; MLS, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Lab Scientist, Med Tech, Medical Technologist, CLS, Clinical Lab Scientist credentials accepted. Pay & Bonuses $27.95 – $46.12 per hour. Salary is based on skills, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible for an annual performance bonus.
