Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience assisting licensed Speech Language Pathologists at various schools in the Fort Myers area. You will work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50-55 students, providing therapy, supporting communication goals, and making a daily impact across elementary and middle schools.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Department of Health SLPA license
• Experience working in a school setting is highly valued
• Willingness to travel between multiple school campuses within the district
• Ability to manage and support a caseload of 50-55 students
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions under supervision
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for students with communication disorders
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support students’ speech and language goals
• Adapt therapy techniques to suit various age groups and needs
• Participate in IEP meetings when appropriate
• Ensure completion of required credentialing, including fingerprinting and issuance of a JLA badge

This contract spans the academic year, with a start date in August and full-time hours up to 37.5 per week, with some flexibility for part-time arrangements. The focus is on in-person services, so candidates must be comfortable working on-site each day across multiple campuses.
