Position Type: Special Education/ Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 4/8/2026 Location: District Wide Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Full-Time, In-Person | RSU 40 – Midcoast Maine RSU 40 is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our special education team. This full-time, in-person position supports students across our schools, helping them develop the communication skills needed to access learning, build relationships, and succeed in school. This role is a key part of our continuum of services, working closely with educators, clinicians, and families to support student growth and independence. What You'll Do Provide individual and small group speech and language therapy services Address articulation, language development, social communication, fluency, and voice needs Conduct evaluations and contribute to IEP development and goal setting Collaborate with teachers and teams to support communication across settings Provide strategies, accommodations, and supports for classroom implementation Support development of students' social communication and peer interaction skills Train and support ed techs and staff in implementing communication strategies Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed Maintain documentation and support MaineCare billing, as applicable What We're Looking For Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Maine ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CF candidates encouraged to apply) Experience working with children, preferably in school or pediatric settings Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the IEP process Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication development Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices Why Join RSU 40 Be part of a supportive, collaborative special education team Work within a clearly defined continuum of services across the district Strong access to related service providers and leadership support Opportunities to shape programming and build staff capacity Meaningful work that directly impacts student communication and success Location: RSU 40 Schedule: Full-time, in-person Reports to: Special Services Leadership Apply Today Join a district committed to strong programs, collaboration, and ensuring all students have access to meaningful, supportive educational experiences. #J-18808-Ljbffr
