Residential Hvac Installer

As a Residential HVAC Installer, you'll play a vital role in bringing heating and cooling systems to life. Whether it's a brand-new install or a full replacement, your precision and craftsmanship will keep homes running smoothly year-round.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating a positive customer experience by completing the install correctly the first time with quality and care to applicable codes, to avoid refunds and recalls.
• Mentoring and developing lead installers and apprentices into install team lead technicians.
• Mentoring team members and apprentices weekly on team's performance metrics.
• Installing HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Wiring both high and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment.
• Installing copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
• Installing sheet metal, duct board, and flex duct systems in residential and lite commercial buildings.
• Properly connecting gas lines to heating equipment.
• Completing all required documentation, including checklist, including recording model, serial numbers, and install date recorded in Service Titan on installs and collecting, recording and delivering fees to designated office administration.
• Understanding when to issue a "Lock Out/Tag Out" tag and the required follow-up steps.
• Facilitating order for all parts required for appointments and ensuring preparedness for the day of service.
• Recording all material used or consumed on the job for job costing and replenishing.
• Working with dispatch to reschedule a follow-up appointment with the customer when the work was not completed during the initial appointment.
• Supporting technicians on troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Transporting materials and tools to the job site and providing proper accounting of assigned tools.
• Keeping truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.
• Protecting customer's home from damage while working and leaving customer's home cleaner than when we arrived.
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure appropriate job objectives are met effectively and completely.
• Informing a manager if the customer does not have fully functioning HVAC service before leaving the call.
• Communicating the benefits of Club Memberships.
• Managing to performance metrics scorecard.
• Investigating any reported safety issues.
• Supporting supervisor and/or manager as a resource who can make decisions on behalf of the company for the install team.
• Reporting any safety issues to manager and/or supervisor.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
