4040 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94124, USA Job Description Motivate is looking for Full‑Time Drivers to operate vehicles to replace batteries for Bay Area’s bikeshare system for morning and evening shifts. Both week and weekend day availability is needed, as we run a 24/7 operation. The ability to pick up additional shifts may be offered throughout the season. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need. Responsibilities Drive a company vehicle (sprinter or cargo van) throughout the bike share system to switch out batteries, bringing the depleted batteries to the depot to be recharged, following your assigned route. Load and unload materials and batteries from vehicles. Perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip, report vehicle issues to management, and clean vehicle as necessary. Follow safe driving and work practices and adhere to all workplace policies. Communicate with dispatch/management throughout shift. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check. Proficiency with using a smartphone with apps. Comfortable driving, maneuvering, stopping, and working in busy, urban outdoor environments. Dependable and follow an assigned schedule. Follow instructions, ask questions, and request feedback to improve performance. Able to lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull heavy loads on a wheeled cart, stoop, bend, kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time. Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
