Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Jackson, Georgia

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with emergency room experience for a contract position in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role is vital for delivering rapid assessment and treatment to patients with urgent and emergent health needs, ensuring the highest standard of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Perform thorough patient assessments, initiate IVs, administer medications, and provide advanced life support as required
- Monitor and record vital signs, update physician with changes in patient status
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies
