Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patients' health status and document findings accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each infant's needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Educate families on neonatal care, discharge instructions, and ongoing health maintenance.
• Supervise and delegate duties to NICU nursing staff, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Have at least two years of recent experience working in a NICU or neonatal intensive care setting.
• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Hold Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
