Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Up to 26 Weeks | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across all areas of a 15-bed LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
• Perform fetal heart monitoring triage and circulate in the operating room as required
• Conduct lab draws and newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios
• Float to other areas of the facility as a sitter when needed, and to a sister facility (approximately 27 miles away) based on census and staffing needs
• Provide holiday coverage with flexibility to accommodate staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor and Delivery
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
• Required skills: OR circulating and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) triage
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Flu vaccination required (exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
