Job Description

General Purpose of Job: Perform general cleaning of the Perioperative Care Unit. With occasional transport of patients.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

• Completes daily cleaning of rooms, including washing stretchers for surgical patients.
• Cleans general work spaces on the Unit.
• Cleans isolation Rooms between patients.
• Stocks patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and documents daily.
• Daily terminal cleaning of patient bays and patient care areas.
• Changes curtains as scheduled and as needed
• Transports patients
• Distribute oxygen tanks in department
• Reports to Manager or Charge RN.

Work Experience:

• 6 months experience in the Perioperative Care Unit as an EVS tech or direct patient care

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Maintains hospital standards of participating in mandatory in-services and mandatory Hospital/ Departmental requirements. • Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job.
