Job Summary

As Textron continues to grow and modernize, our HR analytics, data engineering, and automation capabilities must scale to support increasing complexity and data driven decision making. The next phase of our analytics evolution requires stronger data integration, automation, predictive insight, and executive ready reporting.

The HR Analytics & Technology Engineer advances this work by designing and delivering reliable data pipelines, standardized data sets, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions. This role blends strong technical depth in analytics and data engineering with the ability to support executive reporting, ad hoc analysis, and emerging predictive analytics, data science, and AI enabled use cases.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics, Data Engineering & ETL

• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and curated datasets to support scalable analytics and reporting.

• Build and optimize data models and database structures to ensure high quality, standardized data.

• Apply data quality, governance, and standardization practices to enable trusted, reusable analytics.

Dashboarding & Insight Delivery

• Develop dashboards and analytic products (e.g., Power BI or similar tools) that deliver clear, actionable insights.

• Support executive level reporting and ad hoc, time sensitive analytics requests, translating ambiguous questions into accurate insights.

• Perform advanced analytics, including trend analysis and predictive modeling, and communicate results clearly to diverse audiences.

• Synthesize analysis into clear findings, recommendations, and narratives for senior HR and business leadership to support decision-making.

• Present insights and recommendations to leadership audiences, tailoring messaging to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Automation, Data Science & Technology Enablement

• Build automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual analytics effort.

• Develop analytics and data workflows using Databricks, Python, SQL, and Alteryx.

• Contribute to the application of predictive analytics, data science techniques, and AI to anticipate trends and support decision making.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, well architected analytics solutions.

• Monitor data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

• Balance planned analytics development with executive and ad hoc support while maintaining data quality and scalability.

• Provide technical guidance, informal leadership, and mentorship to other analysts or teammates, supporting skills development and consistency in analytics practices.

• Contribute to the development of analytics standards, best practices, and approaches that improve quality, efficiency, and scalability across the team.

• Assist with analytics strategy and prioritization by identifying high-impact opportunities, emerging needs, and areas for modernization or automation.

Qualifications

Experience

• 7 years of experience delivering analytics, data engineering, and reporting solutions in a complex, data-rich environment.

Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL and strong Python experience.

• Proven expertise with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and database design.

• Experience with Databricks and Alteryx.

• Experience with BI and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Knowledge of data standardization, governance, and data quality practices.

• Familiarity with predictive analytics, data science, and AI enabled analytics.

Soft Skills

• Ability to clearly communicate technical insights to non technical audiences.

• Collaborative mindset and comfort working across functions.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
