To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Your Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment, including the EFI Nozomi, according to job specifications.
- Review work orders and verify stock, artwork, color requirements, and production quantities before beginning each job.
- Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule.
- Monitor print quality throughout production, including color consistency, registration, image quality, and overall accuracy against specifications.
- Identify print defects, press alarms, and mechanical issues and take prompt action to correct problems or involve Maintenance when needed.
- Perform daily startup, shutdown, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Complete roll or sheet changes while minimizing downtime and material waste.
- Meet established standards for output, uptime, waste, spoilage, and quality.
- Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and equipment maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Prepress, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling.
- 2+ years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipment
- Previous experience operating a large-format digital press
- Experience with color management, registration, and print quality inspection
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to read and understand production work orders and technical specifications
- Basic computer skills for production software, job tracking, and reporting
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within production deadlines
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Experience with HP Indigo, HP PageWide, Durst, or similar large-format digital printing equipment
- Experience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S workplace organization
