Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - First Assist

Surgical Assistant Surgical Specialty

Schedule: Monday-Friday 0645-1515 with call and weekend requirements

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited program in Surgical Assisting or an International Medical Graduate
CPR certification required
Three (3) years of previous experience as a Surgical Assistant
At least one (1) year of travel experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist the surgeon efficiently in various surgical specialties.
Participate actively in room turnover and demonstrate proper positioning, draping, and prepping procedures.
Contribute to reducing surgical supply expenses and waste.
Follow infection prevention standards and practices.
Engage in the "Time Out" protocol on all surgical cases prior to incision.

Compliance / Notes:

Candidate must complete Net Learning modules within one week of receiving confirmation/acceptance (approximately 60 modules total).
