Data Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data industry, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team.

As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting the Data Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (onsite 3-4 days)

Pay Range: $75-93/hour based on experience

No 3rd Parties/Corp-to-Corp Allowed

What's the Job?

• Independently design, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in production.
• Identify the data needed for business problems and implement logging to ensure data availability, working with data infrastructure to troubleshoot issues and resolve them.
• Build data expertise and leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Design, build, and launch new data models to support evolving business needs.
• Support existing processes running in production and implement optimized solutions with limited guidance, working with large-scale data environments.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and scripting languages.
• Experience with Big Data platforms such as Databricks, EMR, Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design, ETL tools, and cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
