Submit your application for the opportunity below: Pharmacy Technician II Job Summary And Qualifications As a Pharmacy Technician II you will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. You will participate in providing patient specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. You will accurately prepare IVs, IVPBs, chemotherapy medications using exceptional aseptic technique and efficiently manage the IV room workflow during the shift as assigned You will accurately selects, charges/credits, and prepares medications for patients, dispensing machines, floor stock, and crash carts. Investigates reasons for missing meds prior to replacement You will consistently perform accurate and timely delivery of medications/IVs and floor stock You will consistently complete required monitoring and documentation of assigned functions (examples: temperature logs, expired medication checks, shift duties, cleaning logs) You will consistently assist with inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies What qualifications you will need: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of six months previous Pharmacy Technician hospital experience Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacy Technician Registration or TSBP Pharmacy Intern License Sterile Products (IV) Certification through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) - preferred Benefits St. David's Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
